Our temporary tattoo is using a water soluble adhesive for a short period of time. The cosmetic product is the adhesive as this is the material in contact with the skin. For this reason, the yellow pigment used in the production of the designs, which is not permitted in cosmetics within the EU, is not a problem in this product as it is printed on the surface of the sticker and does not constitute a part of the cosmetic. The paraffin is present at 0.09% and whilst the cosmetic regulations require that it not be carcinogenic for it to be used in cosmetics, the potential carcinogenic contaminants of a C20 paraffin oil are PCA's, the limit for carcinogenicty of PCA's by the IP346 method is 2%, thus as the total amount of oil is only 1.16%, it is by definition not a potential carcinogen in this product and does not present any risk to health.
